Hello List. I am trying to locate the final resting place of my great great grandfather George Shipley. He was an itinerant Baptist preacher who spent the last few years of his life livng with his daughter and son in law at Warmley. He died on 21st May 1926 aged 90 - I have the certificate. There was the briefest of announcements in the local newspaper which gave no details of the funeral arrangements. He is not at Canford, Avonview, Greenbank or Arnos Vale nor is he at St Barnabas, the nearest Church to his home. Any advice or ideas on where else I might look would be extremely welcome. Cheers, Fee in Bristol
Often even the briefest announcements in a newspaper give the name of the Undertakers. If that's there then you could contact them if they are still in existence to see if they still have the records.
