Dear List, I'd be interested in connecting with anyone researching the BATT family from the Bristol area. My great-grandfather was Jacob Batt and he 'emigrated' to South Wales circa 1900. He left quite a large brood of his elder children in Bristol but I've not been able to track any of these down. Any information would be gratefully received. Deri Parsons
Hi I have a "Batt" family in my tree. They originated in Siston Common but my Elizabeth Batt b. 1820 in Warmley, Bristol married George Shellard. They lived in the St George/Moorfields area of Bristol. Not sure if this information is of any help to you. But I have a large family of Shellard/Shallard families in this area and I am always looking out to enlarge on my information. If I can be of help or if anyone can help me then great. All the best.
