Hi Rosalie, John Tyler married Elizabeth Meredith (spinster) on May 17th, 1790 at St George's, Bristol. This is on the IGI lists and in the B&AFHS CDs. Also, FreeBMD gives the death of an Elizabeth Tyler in the March quarter of 1840 in the Clifton Registration District Vol 11 Page 260. Clifton Reg Dist included St George in 1840. This might be her, a death certificate would possibly settle that? Good luck.
