    3. Phil, you are welcome. In the CDs the marriage is listed under the names index but if you look for it under the by-parish entry there is usually more info, hence Walcot. It also shows they were married by Licence. A look at Boyd's Marriage Index on the "Origins Network.com" gives Sarah's name as "Murphot", this is also mentioned on the B&AFHS CD as an alternative name. I also spotted that in 1726 a Morford married a West according the the Marriage Licence Allegations Index - Vicar-General. More details of this entry requires cash I'm sorry to say as it is a pay-for-a-copy on "Origins Network.com". The "applicant", usually the groom but not always, was named West so if this is Sarah's parents then her mother would have been Elizabeth West as you suggest. A lot of speculation but worth researching I would suggest. Hope this helps. -----Original Message----- From: Phil Warn [mailto:philwarnorp@googlemail.com] Sent: Monday, January 18, 2010 7:01 PM To: lawrencelowe@yahoo.co.uk; bristol_and_district@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [B&D] Birth/Baptism for Sarah MORFORD, please Hi Lawrence, Brilliant. I must have missed the Walcott mention in my bumper set of eleven B&A FHS CDs. Interesting as SM's own mother was an Elizabeth WEST! A cousin marriage perhaps? I must now track down Walcott PRs then Very many thanks Best regards Phil On Mon, Jan 18, 2010 at 5:08 PM, LawrenceLowe <lawrencelowe@yahoo.co.uk> wrote: > Phil, > > I just looked at the marriage of Charles and Sarah on the B&AFHS CDs > and see that she came from Walcot in Somerset.
