In 1873 a John Plumpton (Mariner) married my Great-grandmother sister Rachel Rhoda Charles Bristol, in 1871 Rachel had a boy by him also John Plumpton born in Scotland. What I would like to know is, is the John serving on the Invincible as a Royal Marine, the John I am looking for, as he disappeared after the marriage in 1873. Rg Lynne
