Does anybody have access to parish records for Xchurch In my search for WILLIAM BALLARD circa 1750 & WILLIAM BALLARD circa 1771 I have come across John Bullard 1772 xchurch to William & Jane Bullard (BULLARD) sic Was there any other entries for this family or similar name spellings Regards Adrian Ballard

The baptisms for Christ Church, Bristol are included on Bristol Diocese Baptisms The Index & Transcripts 1754-1812 Vols11 to 14 available from the Bristol & Avon FHS but there is only one entry of a BALLARD and none of a BULLARD in Christ Church. The entry on the new Beta Familysearch certainly gives the christening as the 8th Feb 1772 but there is no christening listed against this date on the CD. However there is a slight discrepancy in that there is a christening listed under Christ Church for 1st Nov 1786 of a James Reed BALLARD s/o John & Ann BALLARD that does not appear in the alphabetical index. Perhaps someone is visiting the Bristol Record Office who could check the 1772 date for you.
