    3. Hi Tony, Have you had a look at this site, which might shed some light on these parishes: http://www.widcombeassociation.org.uk/about.html Yvonne Scrivener Canberra ACT Australia -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Tony Harrison Sent: Saturday, 23 October 2010 6:16 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [B&D] Lyncombe and Widecombe I wonder if anyone can help me understand the parish registers for Lyncombe and Widecombe. On FreeReg there are baptisms, marriages and burials for the period 1813-1837 the church is shown as St Mark. However according to details of St Mark it was not built and consecrated until 1832. Prior to this the church is shown as St Thomas a Becket. There is a note that says all marriages between 1754 and 1843 were solemnised at St James church (Bath) and recorded in that register except for 1813-1837 which were recorded in a separate register.

    3. Thanks Yvonne. It looks as though FreeReg has the wrong church recorded as St Marks registers apparently do not start to 1843 Regards Tony ----- Original Message ----- From: "Yvonne Scrivener" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Saturday, October 23, 2010 12:23 PM Subject: Re: [B&D] Lyncombe and Widecombe > Hi Tony, > > Have you had a look at this site, which might shed some light on these > parishes: > http://www.widcombeassociation.org.uk/about.html > > Yvonne Scrivener > Canberra ACT > Australia > > > -----Original Message----- > From: [email protected] > [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Tony > Harrison > Sent: Saturday, 23 October 2010 6:16 PM > To: [email protected] > Subject: [B&D] Lyncombe and Widecombe > > I wonder if anyone can help me understand the parish registers for > Lyncombe > and Widecombe.
