I did Postems on most people on my tree about 18 months ago and since then have only ever seem ONE postem in all the FreeBMD searches I have done since, and that was wrong! It had been done by a contact of mine and when he did a search for the marriage he selected the next person in the list with the same name by mistake. I have been using Postems in my transcribing work - noting the register and the spelling of the name in the register where it differs from that in FreeBMD. See Marriage of Mary CHUCKEY, Mar qtr 1838, in Wincanton. Yvonne Scrivener Canberra ACT Australia The Postems on FreeBMD can be used by clicking on the red Info button at the end of an entry. That will open a new page which will allow you to make a correction, add a Postem or view an image if there's one available. Go down to the paragraph about Postems and click where it says. That will take you to another new page which has a box into which you can add your note or cert details. You have a limited space in which to add the details but it's usually enough. ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to BRISTOL_AND_DISTRICT-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message No virus found in this incoming message.
