The only thing is, they charge £1.50 more for it. I was under the impression the 50 year rule had been dropped since the FRC had closed because I ordered 3 death certs online, all from the 1980s without needing to give any more information than I would for death certs from the 1880s. I don't have an RU number either. I miss the FRC too. I think it was a real backward step withdrawing access to the actual volumes. It was also handy if there were any queries on FMP index entries because they'd send someone round to have a look at the actual index. FMP can't do that now the indices are in Basingstoke. -- Charani (UK) OPC for Walton, Greinton and Clutton, SOM Asst OPC for Ashcott and Shapwick, SOM http://wsom-opc.org.uk
