Dear List members I was wanting to trace the family of Joseph Vickery born 5 Nov 1799 in Bristol England and died in Australia 23 Aug 1892. I think his parents were James Vickery (Swimbridge) and Mary Dallin (Shobrooke). Joseph married Mary Burgess on 3 Sept 1820 at St John Baptist's in Bristol. Mary was born in Somersetshire on  11 Jan 1800, her parents were Joesph Burgess(a Brass Founder) and Mary ?. This information about Mary Vickery is from her death certificate, she died in Sydney, Australia on 18/12/1872. There was no information on the parents of Joseph Vickery.  Joseph and Mary and 14 children, six of whom were born in Bristol (Selina Susan, Joseph, Henry, James, Baby, Edwin, Mary Ann, Ebenezer (born in London) and Joseph. The family immigrated to Australia in 1833. Before 1833 Joseph was a Bootmaker at Sims Lane and Edgeware Road, London. Hope someone can help me, thanks. Lynne Barnes (Sydney Australia)
