Dear Listers, With respect to the debate about John Beacham and the children of Peter and Hester. For many. many years my brick wall has been William Beecham/Beacham, b about 1791, who suddenly appears in Compton Martin getting married to an Elizabeth WYATT in 1821. At the same time, almost, suddenly in Compton Martin there appears a Robert Beacham/Beecham/Beauchamp, born about 1789, who also marries in the Parish Church a Charlotte GAIT in 1812. Where did they come from? Are they related? It would likely but I have no proof. Unfortunately, the Compton Martin Parish records are neglected in the prior period. They both claim to be “of the parish” when marrying, but, of course, they may not have been born there. In past research Peter and Hester look good candidates to me for a reason I cannot put a finger on as I write but I have no proof that they were the parents of either. Any input in this Beecham line would be of tremendous interest to me. David (Beecham) PA-USA, where it is cold but no snow, yet.
