    3. Hi Listers I'm trying to see if James HINAM/HYNAM could be mine. I have a list of the seven children he and the former Miss SAGE produced in Chew Magna between 1838 and 1857. I can't find out what his wife's given name was. Can anyone help, please? I'm sure these HINAMs are related to my 3GGM, Ann HINAM, who m William MANCHESTER in Bath in 1805. BTW, someone has sent me a photo of my 2GGM, Charlotte [BEACHAM]COX, whom I've mentioned several times on this list. I'm thrilled to bits! Kind regards Joy

    3. I have just bought a copy of: "THE INHABITANTS OF BRISTOL IN 1696" This includes names gathered in 1694 fot taxing burials, births, marriages , bachelors of 25 years of age and upwards and childless widowers to raise money to finance the war against France. It became known as "The Marriage Act". It is arranged according to parishes and includes the names of children. If anyone has a family that they are interested in, I am willing to have a "look see" on their behalf. Kathleen

    3. Hello Charani, You are dead right about Pritchard. Ap and Ab are "son of" in Welsh. So Pritchard is "son of Richard" Bevan is son of Evan, Pugh son of Hugh, etc. Rogers is *merely* son of Roger, so not particularly Welsh. In the same way that Williams and Williamson are son of William. 3. 1. See http://www.ldscatalog.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/LDSDomestic?storeId=1015 1&langId=-1&page=Europe - I bought my stuff from Garrets Green Lane, but so far as I know, it's by phone only. 2. http://www.genoot.com/downloads/BVRI2/ tells you what's on them... 3. As Polly says, the stuff is supposed to be on line, particularly at the Pilot site of Family Search http://search.labs.familysearch.org/recordsearch/start.html?datestamp=120379 8302736 - I'm not certain if the stuff is on the normal IGI FamilySearch site. 4. HOWEVER - I am not convinced that the non-Church of Scotland records for Scotland are on online on FS - they seem to have a peculiar relationship with Scotland. Certainly the Pilot Site has no Scots records. I suggest you see if you can find stuff you need online, by searching for the place, before paying. 3. Hi Lawrence Why do you need to buy then when you can search the contents so much easier online. Either on the Ancestry website if you have access, or on the FamilySearch pilot search website (go to the normal FamilySearch website and chose the Pilot Search from the drop down menus under "Searches"). Much easier than swopping CDs and trying to find a Viewer which still works on your O/S....
