What a great list! Now to nail my cousin, John BEACHAM. Pat, I think you're right about him being the son of Peter and Hester [POW].I'm keen to find out which Grace he married. The BEACHAMs you mention are in the right time-frame for contemporaries of Peter's parents, who are also the parents of my 3GGP, James and Sarah[TAYLOR], but I need to do some more work on this line, as I haven't any firm info about them I just know they also had George and Charlotte. 3. Hello Joy, No help with Ancestry but - your John BEACHAM - any ideas where he was born? Husband's 4 x great grandmother was an Elizabeth BEACHUM born about 1754 from Winscombe - too early to be directly connected. I have BEACHAMS from Congresbury & Wick St Lawrence in Axbridge Workhouse - Harriet BEACHAM d/o George & Elizabeth was christened in Congresbury in 1814. In 1851 there is a John BEACHAM in Bristol who was born in Chew Magna in about 1817 I've got a christening of what looks like this John BEACHAM 19th Oct 1817 at Chew Magna s/o Peter & Hester Any good? Edna - Ottawa "In light of the appalling floods in Queensland the Australian Society of Archivists and Records and Information Management Professionals Australasia (the two peak bodies in Australia and New Zealand) have issued a joint statement, which, if you scroll down a little lists numerous authoritative sites for not only how to recover from disasters such as floods and fires, but also advice on how to prepare your collections of in advance of them. These could be of general interest to anyone with valuable collections of documents, photos, etc. Best wishes to all our friends in Queensland as they enter into the heartbreaking phase of discovering what they have lost now that the water is receding, and those in New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania who are now facing the onslaught of new floods." http://www.archivists.org.au/sb/modules/news/attachments/27/JointDisasterStatementv01_20110113.pdf

    3. A few years ago, I was looking for my cousin. I knew approx. where he lived, and I was wrong, and that he had been in the Air Force. I wrote to the Dept. of Defense. I gave them the particulars, an old photo, and thought no more of it. About three weeks later I received a phone call from him and he was living in Cyprus. Perhaps that is a route you might try....
