    3. Hi Jackie, Yes, you may post my note to you a few days ago. I was interested in knowing if you were looking for the William in Hempfield Township. My personal research has not gone back beyond 1758, although we have collected copies of documents. Putting the pieces together has been challenging. This William's decendents later moved to Iowa. I understand that possibly two uncles moved to Oregon in the 1800's. So far, I have not seen any information or requests of information concerning ancestors in the Iowa area. I would love to make connections to my line of Brisbines. Karol Hi Karol and Anyone who can shed light on the Westmoreland family! Karol, even though I am not a descendant of your William Brisbine of Westmoreland County, I feel that it is really important that I learn about him. If he is the son of Capt. John Brisbin, then my William in Centre County was not. You hold the key!!! Please tell me more about him. Who was his wife? How did you link him to Capt. John? I have some information that I'll paste below. I got it from Muriel Brisbin Morrison who now lives in Oregon. She isn't doing genealogy any more because her husband is very ill. Is this William yours? I have run across two Brisbine men in Oregon. I have a copy of the estate probate of a William Brisbine. John Brisbine of Yamhill County was appointed administrator of the estate of William Brisbine of Clackamas County in Dec 1852. I have always wanted to identify these two. I believe John Brisbine had a Donation Land Claim too, and I could easily get that for you if you'd like. There are a few Iowa Brisbine families on the 1850 Census Index CD. A William was in Iowa twp, Cedar County, Iowa. I'm not finished with this list yet, will work on it today. Then will post it. Here is what I have on William Brisbine of Westmoreland Co., PA. Please feel free to make corrections and additions. Thank you for your help! I can think of a lot more questions, but will restrain myself for now. :) Jackie 1 William Brisbin, Pvt. b: 1758 d: 20 Dec 1836 Hempfield, Westmoreland, PA .+Jennet Moore m: Aft. 1778 d: Aft. 24 Oct 1836 ..2 Peggy Brisbin b: Aft. 1779 .... +John Loughery ...3 William Loughery ..2 Jane Brisbin b: Aft. 1779 .... +John McDowell m: 20 Dec 1798 Mt. Wasson NOTES: I have a photocopy of this William Brisbin's will, sent by Muriel Brisbin Morrison. He is also listed in the DAR lineage records. Could this William be the son of James Brisbin who died Westmoreland Co in 1779? James' Will went to probate 25 Aug 1779 and his oldest son William was appointed administrator.
