Hi Sarah and Everybody, I think I sent this to you Sarah, a long time ago, did I? It isn't your ancestor, but wonder if there is any connection here? This James Brisbin was the son of Samuel Brisbin and Mary Ann Flack. Samuel was the son of John Brisbin, Jr. who was the son of Capt. John. These Brisbins are VERY confusing. Dwight Miller wrote a book about the BARR-BRISBIN families and made many mistakes, including the fact that he traced his descent from the wrong Samuel Brisbin. Charles Barr also wrote a book recently and has continued the incorrect descent. I don't have the complete citations for these books at my fingertips right now, but can find them if anyone wants them. I looked at these books on a visit to the Centre County Historical Society a couple of years ago. (Anne, correct me if I've messed up on this one!)
