Hi Jackie and all. I wondered why we weren't seeing any replies to the Brisbin list. Thanks for figuring it out. I was at the Daytona library last week and found a book "Pennsylvannia Genealogies by William Egle. It has the Rutherford family in it. Thomas Rutherford who m. Jean Mordah was the immigrant. Egle lists Thomas' son James Rutherford b 27 Aug 1747; d 6 Mar 1809; m Margaret Brisban b 1753; d Mar 1825; they had no issue and are both interred in Paxtang church burial ground (Harrisburg). The above James was the brother of John Rutherford b 16 Feb 1737 m Margaret Parke. John & Margaret were the parents of Samuel Rutherford b 16 Jul 1769; d 26 Nov 1833; m. Elizabeth Brisban, b. 29 Sep 1770; d. 24 Apr 1843; dau of Capt. John Brisban. The book lists the children of Samuel and Elizabeth which I will send later. Copy sent to me some time ago from Paxton Presbyterian Church, Harrisburg, where Capt. John is buried. It is a one page Bio. of Capt. John and does not give a source. Children of Capt. John Brisbane By his first wife: Mrs. Isabella Simmons McNabb: John Brisbane Agnes Brisbane Rutherford m. Samuel Rutherford Elizabeth Brisbane By his second wife, Mary _________; George Brisbane Jacob Brisbane John Brisbane Elizabeth Brisbane Marriages - By Rev. John Elder 1772, 2 Jan - Margaret Brisban and James Rutherford Could this Margaret be another dau of Capt. John? Does anyone have access to the Rutherford wills? Has anyone found anything more on Elinor Adcock. Isn't this fun. :) Anne Futch ---------- > From: Jacqueline Marshall <jmarshal@jlc.net> > To: BRISBIN-L@rootsweb.com > Subject: Brisbin List > Date: Monday, February 16, 1998 7:01 AM > > Hi EVERYBODY, > I'm running a little experiment here.
