    3. Shame Shame Don, You forgot the Women BRISBIN's....also listed are BRISBINE, BRISBEN, BRISBANE, BRISBON......if you just type in "BRISB" it gives you all the other spellings. 1. War of Rebellion - 60 volumes on line
    2. Linda Katherine Jenkins-Wensel
    3. The entire "War of Rebellion" - all 60 volumes - scanned and online. http://moa.cit.cornell.edu/MOA/MOA-JOURNALS2/WARO.html Only one problem......the indexing is very confusing........hope this explanation helps. Go to the master index. Look for your name. The first number.....the roman numeral, is the Series number......the second number, third number, etc.....equals the volume number. >From there you go to that Series number, volume number, then to the end of the volume for the index, if you are lucky the name you are looking for is under the spelling of that name, but sometimes it is listed as a sub category of something else..........here is an example In the main index (I can't make a roman numeral with this type style I have so an "I" = roman numeral one) McCLUNG, l, 12 this is McClung, series I, volume 12. Then I went to the index of series 1, volume 12 and he was not there under the McC's.....he was listed under Douglas, correspondence, on page 814. BRISBIN, James S., I, 2,25,27,etc....... He is listed in Series I, volumes 2,25,27. He was in the index of Series I, volume 2, page 381. I forgot to write down the image number. BRISBIN, James, II,8 He is listed in series II, volume 8 In the index of that series and volume, he is listed on page 409, Image 421. But then I have BRISBINE, James P., I, 12 when I go to series 1, volume 12, and to the index, he is not listed under the "B's" and not listed under another sub heading.....there are 800 some odd pages to this volume, and I guess I will have to read every one of them to find him! There is also a William BRISBANE listed, I, 11, 19, 27........this would be series 1, volumes 11, 19, 27 Hope this helps, Linda Researching BRISBEN, LYLE, MCCLUNG BRISBEN's are James Patrick, Samuel R. James Young, etc.

    3. A quick one here. The following was sent to me by a researcher in Mesa Co CO: 1912 Ed Brisbin and Sadie Gainsy marry. Edgar R Brisbin and Sadie Gainsey Married 12 Jan 1912 Certificate # 2827 page 360 She has been rooting around in the library in Mesa Co and has come up with references to my Brisbins (Milton and Pearl, children of Daniel L Brisbin of Dickinson Co IA). The fellow Edgar keeps popping up in proximity to Milt and Pearl, but I still have no idea who he is, though logic strongly suggests he is related. Anyone have these people on a database? Would sure love to pin him/them down. Don Ronk in Laos

William Chester Brisbin was at the Centre Co. library in 1939 and said he was b. in MA and living in 1939 in Abington, PA. The George Louis Russell above must have been a son of Anna I. I wonder if William Chester Brisbin gave one to the Centre Co. library? On second thought, I doubt it. 3. Hi all, By any chance does anyone know of the existance of a book, published by my Great Uncle William Chester Brisbane about 1930-ish?, called "The Brisbanes of America"? My Aunt told me about it, but there is no one who knows where a copy may be. It may have been published in either Philadelphia, where he lived near, or Chicago, where he knew someone. Any help would be greatly appreciated since I live in central Florida and don't get up that way too often. Thanks, Bill
