    3. Hi everyone and Good End of the Millennium! I too have been extremely busy... nothing new to all of you. No advances to report to date except that everyone of the family who are still living will be one year older this year! Oh Happy Day! I really do enjoy hearing from each of you on the list, and wish for each a joyous and happy celebration of Christ's Mass and the entering of another year full of potential! 3. Karen: The only reference to my John H. Brisbin is in our family bible. It does not give his middle name, just H. John's 2nd son was named Henry so just guessing it maybe Henry ?? As we do our research in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Penna. my son and I have been on the look out for your Hiram but so far that name has not come up. We will continue to be on the alert. He and his wife Silvia were in Cook Co. IL in 1850 census, and in Kane Co. IL for 1860 and 1870 census. I'm related to Silvia, but would like to find out more about Fields. Does anyone have any info on him? Thanks, Sandy Samis

    3. Hi Everyone! I'm still around too, but am totally into Christmas at the moment. My Mom just left after having been here for nearly a month and my in-laws arrive tomorrow! Finished my shopping today and am going to clean house tomorrow. You'll hear more from me next century! Happy BRISBIN hunting, maybe we'll hit some great finds in the new year! (Like the proof I need for William Brisbin's father, maybe Capt. John???) Joyous Holidays, Jackie PS: Did anyone see my name in the National Genealogical Society magazine under 'Home Study Honor Roll'?! I really enjoyed that course.

    3. Great site.....posted to another list......thought it was worth forwarding.....there is 1 BRISBIN in the photos, Brice David BRISBIN Picture of Civil War Ancestor: http://carlisle-www.army.mil/usamhi/PhotoDB.html ... This site was created by the U.S. Army Military History Institute and it is a searchable database of their Special Collections. Using this database you can see if a photograph exists of your Civil War ancestor. Just enter the surname you're searching and the results page will give any photos of any soldier with that surname, along with (if known) his regiment. Next, you can send an e-mail with the photo ID's that you're interested in. The Army will then send you (for free) a photocopy of the picture, along with instructions on ordering a duplicate photo. An 8x10 photo costs $10.00. No more then ten photos will be produced for any one customer per year." Linda Jenkins Wensel, Researching BRISBEN, BARNES, FOREHAN, LYLE, MCCLUNG
