    2. Hi to all, I thought the enclosed maybe of interest. This is a case of name change from Brimson to Brinson for some reason. When John's father moved from the country he changed his name to Brinson. The rest of John Snr's brother's & sisters were Brimson's but I have traced no other brother or sister of John Snr forward. Most of his brothers died fairly young & when his sister's married I loose the Brinson link as the name changes. The modern day Brinson's stem from Samuel Pierpoint Brinson who was John Paul's brother. His other brother James Hamilton Brinson didn't have children. I have not seen any of the painting's by Paul J Brinson, as he was also known. He obviously did quite well judging by the will as £12,000 pounds was a lot of money in the 1920's as a small house could be purchased for £500 odd pounds. I believe the house in the will is still owned by the family today who live in Essex. Though the family came from Somerset 150 miles or so away. Cheers, David Brimson "WILL" 1928: Brinson John Paul of West Woodlands, 54 Tilehurst Rd, Reading. Died 21 December 1927 at Park Lodge Nursing Home, Bath Rd, Reading. I also appoint them as EXECUTORS of my estate. Provision is also made for my wife (during her widowhood) in the deed of separation agreed upon between us.
