Located in Homerviller, Ga, (in S. Georgia, near Waycross) there is the Huxford Genealogical Society, Inc. Their purpose is to collect and preserve the genealogical info on the Wiregrass area in South Georgia and North Florida. My husband's grandmother was a Brinson. i don't know when the following was sent to the library but her name was Mrs. Louise Brinson Felton, 1806 Doran (?) Drive, Odessa, TX. She was a descendant from S. Shepperd Brinson. Anyway, she hand wrote the following: Brinson, Stephen - born 1783 in NC, son of Adam (RS). Died in Lowndes Co, GA 1840-1850. Wife: Nancy Stringer - b 1786 in NC. Issue: Cyprian - b. 1810 in GA, Married Ann D. Hines, dau of William William T. - b. 1828 in GA, Married 1. Eliza Brinson @. Angeline Phillips, dau of Wm. 4/2/1861 Eliza Ann - b. 1834 in Ga Benjamin F. - b 1830 in GA Adam - b. 1812 (?) in GA, married Charlotte M Iney (?) dau of Robt. moved to Texas Daniel S. Shepherd - Mary - Nancy and Annie. I don't know where she obtained her info but she did have more on : Isaac Brinson - b ca 1750 in NC, son of Adam, marr Elizabeth McCullers Miles M. Brinson - b 3/4/1812 Screven Co, GA, son of Isaac, marr Sarah Hines Adam Brinson - b 6/10/1751 in NC, son of Adam & Sarah , mar Mary Sheppard, dau of Benjamin (RS) Adam Brinson - b ca 1700 in VA, son of John and Elizabeth, mar Sarah Sterling William T. Brinson - b. 1828 in Screven Co, son of Stephen, mar 1. Eliza Brinson, cousin who was dau of Mills M.. 2. Angeline Phillips, dau of William. Each of the above lists their children and some info. Also from "Pioneers of Wiregrass Georgia", which wich compiled and published by Folks Huxford, has info on the Adam Brinson, stating he is the Colonial ancestor of practically all of the Brinson descendants in GA.
