Hi all, The book is also published in England under Burke's book of Brinson's/ Brimson's. It used to be published as Halbert's though. I was sent a copy of the Brinson book a couple of years ago by a Bob Brinson of Somerset. It was his late mother's copy & said it might be interesting to me. It waffles on about general world history & migration also how to trace your family tree. Then list's info on the Brinson name which is made up & guesses. It say's Brinson is "dweller on a hill" well in my book of surnames this is Hellman or Hillman. The coat of arm's displayed is for Brin. The back part where all the Brinson's, names, address's worldwide is the most usefull part. All in all a waste of money unless you want to see all the Brinson's listed in the world & maybe contact some. Saying that I bought the book of Brinson's by Burke. All the same except more colour no arm's no surname origin but it does list all the Brimson's round the world. Some are ex-phone directory which was usefull when writing to them. Though I don't think I got many replies. I could check with British Telecom to see if a person was living at the address given. I found some name's made up & just put in by Burke's. There were 343 Brimson families listed worldwide & after England most lived in Australia 65 household's, Canada 16, USA 22. Brinson was different (households) Great Britain 85, Canada, 99, USA 3,256 [estimated pop 10,765], Australia 0, New Zealand 7,. However there are Brinson's in Australia as I have met 2, one is an actress, Katy Brinson. There was no coat of arm's or surname origin listed in the book of Brimson's. Well just thought I would add my bit as I have both book's. As you can see there are many more Brinson's in the USA than here. Cheers.
