J ======================================================== I found in the Ancestral File at the LDS FHC a file on Philip Purser, who is supposedly Patience's father. It has, get this, his wife as being Purser LEIGH -- isn't that wild? I couldn't imagine him marrying someone whose given name was the same as his surname. However, in my Bienville Parish History book (Louisiana), the write-up on the Brinson family says that Patience's parents were James Leigh PURSER and Ann DARDEN. I think it makes more sense that Patience's parents were James Leigh PURSER and Ann DARDEN, and that her grandparents were Philip PURSER and Purser LEIGH. However, that is just me trying to fit it all together. You mentioned one of the files that is your source is Robert W. Brinson webpage. Could you tell me where that is?
