Stirring Brinson (seal) In presence of: Isaac Brinson Anna Brinson (X) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ---- (This man's name was, obviously, Sterling Brinson, named for his mother's family. I suspect that the accent of the family made it sound like "Stirring". When the will was drawn up, it was surely not written out by this dying man, but a person with legal authority to do so. He signed his name as Stirring. Perhaps, even he, thought that was how it was spelled. People were not as literate in those days as we are now. - JPC) ========================================================== MIn Bk SC "A" 1815-1822 Screven Co, 7-15-1818 Petition of John and Adam Brinson Executors of last Will and Testament of Isaac Brinson ===================================================== Certificate found in files at Archives at Atlanta under Burke Co GA, Jefferson Co.
