I have gone over the desc. list of Thomas Brinson, Sr. that you sent me. I noticed that you have James J. Brinson, Sr and James J. Brinson, Jr. I wasn't aware that they were Sr and Jr. On James Sr., as far as I can find he was only married once to Kezia Linton. If he was married before, could it be possible that he and James Jr. were both married to Patience Pursers? I'm really interested in your info. I saw you have Patience Elizabeth Purser (m. to James Jr.) as born in England in 1761. I have her born in No. Carolina, but I got my information from other people. Mine is not documented. I found in the Ancestral File at the LDS FHC a file on Philip Purser, who is supposedly Patience's father. It has, get this, his wife as being Purser LEIGH -- isn't that wild? I couldn't imagine him marrying someone whose given name was the same as his surname. However, in my Bienville Parish History book (Louisiana), the write-up on the Brinson family says that Patience's parents were James Leigh PURSER and Ann DARDEN. I think it makes more sense that Patience's parents were James Leigh PURSER and Ann DARDEN, and that her grandparents were Philip PURSER and Purser LEIGH. However, that is just me trying to fit it all together. You mentioned one of the files that is your source is Robert W. Brinson webpage. Could you tell me where that is? I would like to look at it.
