You have been most helpful, I have kept every Email, but My Benjamin still seems to elude us. I know that he did not come from the Sheppard Brinson and the Marion county FLorida bunch. That Benjamin F Brinson was born in 1845 and married Susan Tutun. From this time--- The Benjamin was born in 1835 almost a 20 year difference. I still think that Cyprian Brinson is my key. Any more thoughts? Kathy ==== BRINSON Mailing List ==== Subscribe to the BRINSON list. http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/5248/brinsonlist.html
Can anyone tell me what happens when you are subscribing to several lists and do not check your mail for a week? Does the mailbox fill up and start returning e-mail as undeliverable? Should I unsubscribe or is there some other way of handling this? I don't want to miss any of the messages. David- I'm a "johnny come lately" and have received a few Brinson notes, but nothing from you. I descend thru Adam Brinson I, Adam Brinson II and Shepherd Brinson and his daughter Susannah who married Simeon Wallace. They are the parents of my great Grandmother Mary Wallace (b 19/7/1836; d 10/22/1923). Having been born in 1919, I can remember her. I'll submit more at a later date. John John C. Hi to everyone, I have sent the IGI part 3 out in a GEDCOM file this time. OH dear !. I seem to have left people out again. There were 14 I think last week now only 11. I have searched through my mailbox but & have nearly 300 emails & Netscape keeps telling me to compress the file. I will archive them soon. If I have left anyone out, SORRY :-( If you would like to e-mail me & tell me which part you would like I will send it in a GEDCOM file. I will try to send part 4 out next week. This is the last part for Brinson. Please put in the subject heading IGI Thanks. David Brimson ==== BRINSON Mailing List ==== Have you invited your online cousins to subscribe to the BRINSON list?

Do you get the FTM page up front when you go online from FTM? When I want to tape a tree together, I usually have to cut at least one side to make it fit right. The other feature (non overlapping) is for the Book version, that can be contained in the book as individual pages. Hi, It's me again, David Brimson in England. I emailed some more Brinson's about the new's group from the Four-11 e-mail search engine. However none e-mailed me back & I don't think anymore joined the new's group with the info I sent???. This is in addition to the Brinson's I have in my address book & I contacted firstly. I tried Brinson's here but none were listed for England :-0 There are of course Brinson's out there who may have info & have researched therir family tree's but don't have access to a computer or the internet & I know 2 who has done lot's of research. A friend of mine has just returned from white water rafting in the Grand Canyon. He was amazed at all the people on the trip who took a mobile phone or bleep. He also said many had e-mail address's which isn't the case here. There are only a handfull of people here with Internet access at home in our dep't. I read Finland has one of the highest countries for Internet access, I would never have guessed this :-O It's a pitty there arn't any Brinson's on the Internet over here. I know Mary & Phillip Brinson have a computer at home but as yet don't have Internet access. I wrote to them 2 weeks ago & mentioned the new's group, maybe they will get on soon !?. They have first hand knowlege of the Brinson's in Dorset. I haven't heard back from them yet by "snail post" email is much better &faster :-) Regarding the origin's of the Brinson's line's in the USA. There maybe even more than 2 branches as someone said. I have Brinson/Brimson birth's registered say between 1837-1900 but no marriage or a death registered or say a marriage but still no death. Either the person vanished off the face of the earth or the person emigrated. From here it's the USA, Canada or down under Australia, New Zealand or even South Africa. I wonder how many record's of imigration are kept in Washington for Ellis Island & when Ellis Island opened & what happened before. Anyway I have Brinson birth's but nothing else. Maybe one of your Brinson ancestors was a late arival ?. In which case, if it's after 1837 there will be a record of birth in London for your ancestor. George Fred Brinson born Beaminster Dorset 1845 James Gibbs Brinson " " 1847 Robert James Tucker Brinson born Wells Somerset 1848 Henry John Brinson born Hartley Witney, Hampshire, 1850 William Henry Brinson born 1855 Christchurch Hampshire married 1876 Christchurch. I also wondered how many Brinson's have the book by Robert W Brinson 1983 "Here There & Yonder" a Brinson Genealogy. There is a lot of info in there including will's. It was available in New Bern NC library as was a marriage index for the area. A useful source of data. Byeeeee for now. Hope everyone is OK. It's still wet & raining here. About the Sacramento County Seal: The official Sacramento County seal was adopted by the Board of Supervisors on January 18, 1961, following a contest for an appropriate design. To view the Sacramento County Seal (101KB), click here. The color scheme is basically blue and gold. The predominant graphic feature is the dome of the State Capitol, symbolizing Sacramento County as the seat of the state government. The Capitol dome is superimposed upon a golden brown parchment scroll which signifies the early historical background of this community for which John Sutter received a Mexican land grant from Governor Alvarado at Monterey in 1841. Two of the most important historical events in the county's history are denoted by the Pony Express rider and the gold miner. The Pony Express rider symbolizes the fact that Sacramento was the western terminus of the Pony Express. The gold miner signifies the discovery of gold which touched off one of the greatest mass migrations in the nation's history. The date of February, 18, 1850, written on the lower edge of the scroll is the date Sacramento County and the other original counties were created by an act of the state legislature. There are 31 white stars in an outer circle around the field of blue. The stars symbolize California as the 31st state admitted to the Union. About the artist: The seal was designed by W. Roy Brinson. A native of Sacramento, Brinson studied art at the Dayton Art Institute in Dayton, Ohio, while he was stationed at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. He was discharged from the Air Force in 1946 and went to work as a civil illustrator in the orientation group at Wright Patterson where he designed Air Force exhibits for showing to the public. Brinson helped design the inaugural float for President Dwight D. Eisenhower's inauguration in 1952 and helped build the exhibits for the dedication of Idlewild International Airport in New York. He also had a part in designing Eisenhower's open skies exhibit which was shown in the Carnegie Building adjacent to the United Nations Building in New York. ==== BRINSON Mailing List ==== Have you considered joining the Rootsweb Genealogical Data Cooperative? http://www.rootsweb.com/ .

Hi to all, Look what I have here :-0 It's the Roster of Confederate Soldiers. They are all Brinson's. It was scanned by a Logitech hand held scanner at 400 dpi. As the print was small there are mistakes or un-recognisable words or text. I haven't checked it through as this would take ages. This is the several attempts at getting it the best I can & altering the contrast of the scanner. If it was bigger text it would have come out better. After the name the State is given then regiment & maybe rank. I don't know what everything means & guess what !?. There were no Brinson Yankees on the Union side as I checked the North. Don't forget "all Brinson" even if they are not listed as such (scanner's fault). These are men that fought, not died though some could have. Thanks to New Bern City Library & it's friendly staff :-) Cheers. David Brimson Brinson, Adam MS Cav. Stockdale's Bn. Co.B Brinson, Adam C. GA 25th Inf. Co.R Brinson, Adam C. Why not? Count me in. Sorry that I'm a little slow in responding, but I'm just back from a few weeks' business trip to Australia and hooking up to the Internet down under is a painful procedure (largely due to our internal corporate process, I think), so I couldn't connect to anything beyond our internal e-mail. Actually the Brinson name does not come from a blood relative of mine, but was the surname of the family (neighbor, etc.) who raised my grgrmother Tarver after she was orphaned at a young age in GA. The husband's name was William Brinson, so when she married Caleb Garvin Weeks, she named her first son William Brinson Weeks. My father was Warren Brinson Weeks, I'm a junior, and my son is William Brinson, so the name has stuck around for a while. Still most people have trouble with it! Good luck. Why not? My apologies if this isn't of interest. I promise I won't bother you again. (Except for those of you to whom I owe e-mail: I promise I will bother you again, but it may be a bit, life has been one mad rollercoaster for the past several months.) I think (from my notes) that you may have an interest in the BRINSON (BRIMSON, BRUNSON, etc) surname. If so, you might want to subscribe to the new BRINSON-L genealogical mailing list. To subscribe, either just drop me a note and ask me to add you, or write to BRINSON-L-request@rootsweb.com and put the command "subscribe" (without the quotation marks) in the body of the message. If you know of anyone else who might be interested, feel free to pass this note along to them... Karen karen@rootsweb.com karen@rand.org P.S. I descend from Zebulon Brinson of Indiana. But anyone with an interest in the surname, in England, in the American South, wherever, is welcome! ==== BRINSON Mailing List ==== Invite your online BRINSON cousins to use the handy subscription form at http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/5248/
