Hello, everyone. I am the new list administrator for this list. I am also the list administrator for the BRINDLEY list, which is a similar name, and spellings between these can vary, depending on the person making a written record. I have made some changes to the list operation. The description of the changes, follows. I have implemented prepending. That means that each message distibuted by the list, should have the list name in square brackets, at the start of the subject line (except for replies, when that is prefaced with "Re: "). The prepending makes sorting emails, easier for people, whether they sort on the subject line, or just want to see which messages have come from the list, if the people do not use sorting. I have also set the replies to default to the list. This is to make replying to the list easier, and, to me, genealogy mailing lists are for sharing information, unless it is wanted otherwise. If you want to reply to a message, off-list, please check the Reply To address before sending your reply. I have also implemented a tagline, to make using the list easier, and to minimise possible messages getting posted to the list, regarding list administration. The tagline should appear at the bottom of messages. I will soon post an introductory message, about my genealogical interest as relating to this list.
