Born Sept. 30, 1953, on Ft. Hood in Kaleen, Texas, he was a son of the late Harry F. and Gloria S. (Stetzer) Brinker. Tex retired from Carroll Pontiac, in Clairton, where he worked as a mechanic, and also worked as an accountant for H&R Block in Southland Shopping Center, in Pleasant Hills. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Jay Ann (Lowe) Brinker; his son, Jason D. (Rebecca) Brinker, of Pleasant Hills; his daughter Jenna (Jeffrey) Freund, of Jefferson Hills; his grandson, Jack Freund; his brother, Scott Brinker, of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; his sister, Janet Saunders, of Port Charlotte, Fla.; his brother, Bradley Brinker, of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; nieces, and one great-nephew. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Monday in the A.J. BEKAVAC FUNERAL HOME, Clairton. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home with Dr. John Barker officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. www.bekavacfuneralhome.com.
