There is a Vincent Brinker in our family records. One thing I do remember, is that Vincent Brinker had, among others, twin girls, who both became Catholic nuns. I remember them visiting our family home in Albuquerque when I was a child in the late 1960's. Their names were Sister Claudia and Sister Claudea. He was in the 23rd Pennsylvania "Birney's Zouaves" during the Civil War. He then went to the 82nd PA and mustered out at the end of the war. I could not find a pension record, date of death and gravesite. He was born in Butler County Pennsylvania in 1838. His father was Jacob Brinker and mother was Sarah Brinker(Graham). They got married in 1827. Alfred Brinker can be found in the book - "Life of the 23rd Pennsylvania Volunteers" They have that he died in Burlington County New Jersey but I have tried several cemeteries and have come up empty. I am guessing that he died in the early 20th Century. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
