I have alot of names here are a few to see if you have information on them. There is a John(Jonathan)Brimmer, Jacob Brimmer,Anna Brimmer, Mary Brimmer, Elizabeth Brimmer, and Jeremiah Brimmer. My grandfathers name was Porter Brimmer he was born on Aug. 2 1900 in Rialto San Bernardion California. His Parents where Henry Arthur Brimmer and Olive Letita Amos. My grandfather had a brother named Maurice A. Brimmer they had two children Sharon Brimmer, born in 1937, and Rodney Brimmer born in 1939. I have so much more information but I'm not sure what you have and don't have. My father and my three sisters live in Fallon Nevada. My mother is the one that has gathered all this ifomation if it is possiable maybe I could ! arrange it for you to be able to get in contact with her or my father. I think this is really amazing that we could possiably be related I hope this infomation will help you and please let me know your side of the family because it could be quite possiable I may have you in my book. Y., in 1815; his father, John Brimmer, a farmer, and his mother, Amy Christian, were both natives of New York State; Uriah lived in the State of New York until 1842, when he went to Illinois, locating in Kendall Co., engaging in farming, afterward moving to Kane Co., remaining there until 1860, when he came to Grant Co. and bought the farm upon which he now lives. He was married, in 1835, in the State of New York, to Miss Miranda Rowley, by whom he had eight children, six now living; George, the youngest, enlisted August, 1862, in Col. Moore's 33d W. V. I., serving with the regiment until the war was over; his daughter Sarah was married in July, 1861, to E. C. Miller; he enlisted in the 19th W. V. I., and was discharged for disability; after he regained his health he enlisted in the 33d W. V. Sept 6, 1815 in Carlisle, PA. Married Harriet Amanda Riley on Jan 7, 1841 in Hinckley, Medina Co., OH. Migrated to Leroy, Calhoun Co., MI; Climax, Kalamazoo Co., MI; Marilla, Manistee Co., MI. Died April 28, 1894 and is buried in Marilla, MI. John's parents were John Brimmer and Dolly Hoshberger. All I have is their names written down by a grandson. Dolly may be the elderly Magdelena Brimmer living with John Charles in 1850. Family story written by a son of John Charles states that John Sr. came to America from Germany about 1808 with his parents, his sister and his father's brother. The parents died at sea and were buried at sea. John and his sister were separated and never saw each other again. John settled in Carlisle PA. I am curious if anyone is a descendant of the sister and might have this same story in their family history. Or possibly the uncle. I do not know their names. I did find a Charles Brimmer in 1820 in Carlisle where John Charles was born in 1815. So John Sr. may also be named John Charles or Charles John.
