Zachariaha and Lucy disappear from the tax rolls in 1852. Charles is Charles Henry Brimmer. He reappears in Farmville Va. He enlisted in the 18th infantry regiment, fought with them throughout the civil war. He married Susan J Woodrum of Burkville and moved to Danville VA. They had 5 children, Cora A, Rose L, Lucy, Charles B and Marvin H. There is a marriage return for Zachariaha and Lucy Davenport recorded in Spotsivania county but they appear on the tax rolls in Orange County. I have not been able to trace daughter Lucy and I don't know anything else about Lucy Davenport. I am not sure on this part but I think that Zachariaha's father was a Charles Brimmer who fought in the War of 1812. I haven't been able to find anything under the name Brimmer so maybe if I try Brummer that might bring something up. I don't know if I'm related to an Archie Brimmer. I did discover that I was related to and Ernest Carlton Brimmer who was an actor that went by the name of Richard Dix he was born in St. Paul Minnesota, and it says he won an academy award in 1931 for some move called Cimarron. I'm still trying to figure out who is who as far as who I might me related to,but to tell you the truth I think that we all have to be related some way or another. I will let you know if I find anything out about Brimmers in Germany. Thanks for the information. Chat with you soon. Valerie. A lot of the old cemeteries are in poor shape. I am 55 years of age and the 4th of 6 children. Godfrey had I believe 2 sons who moved west, some settling in Michigan, then Wisconsin then further west. My Father moved to Ohio where I was born and I moved to NY about 20 years ago. I have quite a few relatives still in the Massachusetts/New York/Vermont triangle area (the Hoosic/Hoosick/Hoosac Valley) where the family originally settled. Can you tell me which of the sons of John (Hans) George Brimmer you desecended from? I am always willing to share what information I have with others willing to share what they have. If your Mother or Father prefer I can give you my email address. I look forward to hearing from you again.
