I, too, am supposedly descended from Hans Jurig Brimer or Brimmer, who arrived on the Ship Hope from Rotterdam in 1733. However, I believe he settled in South Carolina. Are we talking about the same person? Also, curious to know where you live in Idaho (particularly on what river) as my husband and I come out every summer to spend a week on either the Middle Fork or the Main Salmon. Love Idaho! Noah was born in Rensselaer NY and he died in 1857 but his widow Philura married his brother Tommas Brimmer and they lived in Mukwanago Wisconsin. Do any of the Brimmer researchers recognize this family. Ernest Carlton Brimmer is a descendant he was the actor Richard Dix.
