Were not born in Germany. But they were in fact born in the US. Joheil was born Jan 31,1818 in Franklin,NY...Delaware County & died in 1904. It is said that Maria (last name Skinnerhorn/ Shimmerhorn or Schmick/ Smith ) was Seneca Indian from NY. They supposedly resided on the east side of Seneca Lake in NY. They had many children (8 or 10)....My GRT GRT Grandfather Van Ranslor (Rant) Brimmer (B: 06/09/1856 in Farmington ,PA D: 12/09/1943 in Reading Center,NY) (married Cynthia LOWE )was one of them. I am seeking information on the Brimmer's: My ggrandfather was Ezra Brimmer born 21, June 1837, in Penn., died 24, January 1929, Auburn Township, Fayette County, Iowa, married Celia Dennis born 17, August 1845, in Canada town unknown, Celia died iin Hulett, Wyoming, 29 June 1921. I am interested if anyone has any information on Ezra, and Celia, and Ezra's father is Euriah Brimmer. Ezra and Celia lived in Boscobel, Wisconsin at the time the 1870 census was taken. They had four sons that lived and my granfather Sherman Brimmer married Dolly Banta, in Readstown, Wisconsin 8, February 1891, and Sherm and Dolly then moved to Soldiers Grove, Wisconsin, prior to moving to Wyoming. It is related that Euriah Brimmer gggrandfather may have been a blacksmith for the Chicago Fire Dept. at the time of the big fire in Chicago.
