They were 11 & 9 yrs when they went to live in an orphanage, presumably in Hamilton County TN, after their mother passed away. Van was either born 10/02/1882 or 1883. The 1900 US Census shows Van at 16 as a lodger living with Samuel and Caroline Painter family in Hamilton County. It shows his occupation as attending school. His parents may have been either Abraham or Lincon Brimer and mother Sarah or Sallie Painter. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
