I believe there will be some of you that will be interested to hear that Lu Hinchey at the Jefferson County Archives (at the request of Shirley in Miami) recently found documentation of a divorce that took place between Phalby (Falby) Hall Edmonds and Thomas Moore. I was not aware of this divorce, and thought perhaps some of you were not as well. Phalby first married George Jackson Edmonds, then Thomas Moore, then Vineyard Brimer, Sr. This should clear up some confusion regarding some of the children in that family. W. Turley Judge and ___ Upon petition Judgment ___ Confess and proof from all Which it appears to his Hon. that the defendant deserted his Wife the planitiff without reasonable Cause, and has Willfully maliciously absented himself for eight years and during all that time has failed and refused in any manner to provide any means of Support for his said wife, The Court is therefore pleased to Order adjudge and decree that the bounds of matrimony heretofore and now Subsisting between said parties h o and the same are hereby dissolved.
