    1. Sarah Catherine Brimer
    2. suereynolds
    3. Sarah Catherine Brimer was born April 1865. I am wondering if she could have been the daughter of Jackson Brimer and Angeline. I've seen Angeline Batey and Angeline Bailey, not sure which is correct. She may have first married her cousin, Jesse D. Brimer of Van Buren County, Tn. She is not with Jackson and his second wife Josephine in 1870. I have seen where Angeline died abt april 1865 and wondering if she died giving birth to Sarah. Could she be with the Bailey/Batey family? By 1890, Sarah is married to William P. Henry and has 2 children born between 1890 and 1894 by this husband. In 1900, she is married to William Estes and living in Cannon County, Tn. Still looking for marriage records to these men and locations of where they lived. Sue Reynolds

I have the line back to William Brimer, Revolutionary War Veteran, b. 1759. Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of information on Oakley Cleburne Brimer, even though he was my grandfather's brother. I went to Atlanta, Bloomburg, Cass Co., Texas about 3 years ago and went to the cemeteries and was able to get a photo of O.C. Brimer's headstone. I had some of the information previously. Here is all of the information that I have. The headstone definitely had "O.C." and not C.O. born 9 Mar 1906, died 20 Sep 1934. Headstone also had the inscription "an honest man is the noblest work of God" at the both of the stone. I know that he was born in Bloomburg, Cass Co., TX and died on the dates given above. He is buried at Beech Creek Cemetery, Bloomburg, Cass Co., Texas. He married Dorothy Hopkins 3 Nov 1928 in Cass Co., Texas. I found this information at the Courthouse in Linden, Cass Co., Texas in the Marriage Records for Ca! ss Co., Texas. License # 620/book 13/page 534. I wish I could help with more information about this family, but can't at the present. I will talk to my 86 y/o aunt to see if she knows or has any additional information. Would love to be able to exchange and share information. Carol

    1. Re: Twas the Night Before Christmas.....Lawyers Version
    2. TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS...... Whereas, on an occasion immediately preceding the Nativity Festival, throughout a certain dwelling unit, quiet descended, in which would be heard no disturbance, not even the sound emitted by a diminutive rodent related to tom, and in form resembling, a rat: and Whereas, the offspring of the occupants had affixed their tubular, closely knit coverings for the nether limbs to the flue of the fireplace in the expectation that a personage known as St. Nicholas would arrive; and Whereas, said offspring had become somnolent and were entertaining re: saccharine-flavored fruit; and Whereas, the adult male of the family, et ux, attired in proper headgear, had also become quiescent in anticipation of nocturnal inertia; and Whereas, a distraction on the snowy acreage outside aroused athe owner to investigate; and Whereas, he perceived in a most unbelieving manner a vehicle propelled by eight domesticated quadrupeds of a species found in arctic regions; and Whereas, a most odd rotund gentleman was entreating the aforesaid animals bby their appellations , as follows: "Your immediate cooperation is requested. Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, and Vixen and collective action by you will be appreciated, Comet, Cupid, Donder and Blizen.;" and Whereas, subsequent to the above, there occured a swift descent to the hearth by the aforementioned gentleman, where he proceeded to deposit gratuities in the aforementioned tubular coverings. Now, therefore, be ye advised: That upon completion of these acts, and upon his return to his original point of departure, he proclaimed a felicitation of the type prevalent and suitable to these occasions, i.e., "Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night."
