I cannot seem to make any headway on the origin of my Francis Bridges who was born in NC and lived later in Maury CO TN and then Carroll CO TN as an old man... He was the son of WILLIAM BRIDGES of NC and he married #1 Sarah CADLE/CAUDLE (d/o JESSE and SUSANNA) and #2 widow Matilda Moore. I have been entertaining the idea that perhaps William Bridges of NC was descended from the BRIDGERS family... Does anyone have knowledge of any BRIDGERS with a descendant who fits Francis' profile? I know that there were some of the Bridgers who changed their name to Bridges...one in particular was disowned by his father and later changed his name... Would appreciate any iput from the list Regina Roper
