I have read about John Lafayette Bridges on this list, but I don't really have anything about him. I am connected to a Drury Bridges who is from the Edgecombe County, NC and later settling in KY. While Drury was migrating to KY his journey went thru Carthage, TN and into the area of Gallatin in Sumner County, TN. At that time several Bridges families from Nash County, NC lived near Gallatin, among them were families of Sampson, William, and John. Drury stopped to visit these families on his route, but I am not sure if they were brothers, or cousins, or even kin at all.
