Dear Bill: This Moses Bridges was bondsman when Alexander Davidson II/Sr married Mary Ellis in Rutherford Co. NC 1783. We believe he was Alex's first wife, Miss Bridges, brother. The two men witnessed for each other. We need to know the first name of Miss Bridges, Ales' first wife. They married ca. 1762? poss. Spotsylvania Co.? VA; first child b. ca. 1764 as Gdau nancy (our line) b. 1784 NC. Alex went from Spotsylvania Co. to the Caswell area of Orange Co. NC, then on to Tryon/Rutherford Co. NC, to Warren Co. 1797 area that became Barren Co. in 1798. He died there 1817.
