    1. Re: [BRIDGES-L] Georgia Bridges
    2. Do you know if any of the group below had a son named Hardy BRIDGES. He was born in GA in about 1801, and is found in Greene Co. GA in the census of 1850. I believe that his mother was Cherry POWELL. I was beginning to believe that Hardy was hatched from an egg. Smith (c1970, Wilkes Publishing Co.)-- "William Bridges, the first of this family to migrate to Oglethorpe County, was from Ireland and came first to Savannah. Soloman Bridges, his brother, also finally moved here. I do not know who either married. William's family group was as follows: William, James L., John W., Henry, Richard M., Solomon T., Elizabeth, Susan, Kizzie, Almeda, Mandy, Jane. "Soloman's children were: William married Martha Jordan on Sept. 8, 1824; David never married; James; three girls were born also to this union, one married Deadwyler; one Settles; and one Adams. This record given by family." >>
