    3. We are so lucky Leslie, it's just a few hours away from us in Suffolk. We just drive down to Kent and then take the Eurostar train across the channel. I love walking around that city and would be so pleased to find a link. However, the theory is that the folk from Brugges were silk weavers, and I have never found any Bridges' weavers in Norfolk or Suffolk. The silk industry came to the East End of London and then moved up to north Esses and into Suffolk much later. All of our Bridges in Suffolk were blacksmiths and wheelwrights.
