The DNA is proving to be so interesting to me. My goal in all my lines is to find my family, not matter who they were. After all, I am a part of all of them. As for continuing to research a line if you find out it is not your line, that is a personal decision. But, from a purely genealogical point of view, that isn't your blood line. Actually, Dawene hasn't proven that she isn't a Bridges, yet. More research and more DNA tests may, someday, figure it out, but I know that she will be happy with whichever family is hers. I know that my husband found out that he was adopted and, although, we know who his father was, we do not know who his mother was. We had researched his adoptive mother back into the 1700s in VA before we proved via DNA that she isn't his mother and, somehow, it is hard to continue to be interested in them since we know that they aren't really his or a part of his bloodline. To each his own and I wouldn't dream of telling someone else what to do in any family situation. If all those Bridges who are close to Dawene's result would upgrade to 37 markers, including Dawene, we would have a clearer picture of whether there is a match or not. Of course those upgrades may prove that there is not a match. We have to be patient. I have gotten a match with my Martin DNA after waiting for 2 years and I don't have a match in many of my lines, but I have hope. Keep diggings <g> Julia
