Hi, Dawnene. I cannot answer your question for sure. All I do know is that a lot of the descendants of "my" John lived in Robertson Co, TN and in Logan Co, KY. And, although I have always loved family names, I too wish that these people had used some different names. But then, people get really confused with the fact that one of my grandfathers was Leslie Combs .... which was also my mother's name.... and is also what we named one of our daughters!
