    3. Already knowing the information about one of my ancestor's service, I went to the wonderful webite, which David had suggested, to search for his information. It was not there. So, if you do not find your ancestor there, don't give up hope. Leslie Bridges Kohler ----- Original Message ----- Everyone may know about this web site which has both Confederate and Union solders and sailors but here it is: http://www.itd.nps.gov/cwss/ I have found relatives on both sides. 3. Keep in mind companies were sometimes formed out of a group of others after the numbers had dwindled. What a pension may show may not be the original recorded company/regiment, etc. The best site I have found for links to unit rosters, as well as any other aspect of the War Between The States- http://www.cwc.lsu.edu/ also for more roster info http://www.tarleton.edu/~kjones/confeds.html Regards, Wes Gann From: "Leslie Kohler" <Aug67@att.net> To: <BRIDGES-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, March 25, 2004 9:52 AM Subject: Re: [BRIDGES-L] Confederate Soldiers List > > Already knowing the information about one of my ancestor's service, > I went to the wonderful webite, which David had suggested, to search > for his information.
