Wanda; Do you have a Jerome BRIDGES (18 Oct 1818- 31 Jan 1901) or Lucy A.Bridges-(08 Mar 1828-28 Oct 1858)--Jerome a run-away bond slave, married Isabelle Buchanan, 3 Mar 1846. Their youngest son, my grandfather was William Green Bridges, his eldest son was Le Roy Bridges and his eldest son was Walter William Bridges. Lucy Bridges married Matthew Buchanan, Isabelle's brother. Census records indicate she was born in Illinois or Indiana. Jerome was born in Fairfax Co., Virginia. Isabelle and Matthew Buchanan were born in Washington Co., Virginia.
