    3. Hi: I have no idea. I got the initials off of the tax records and the marriage records. Both of them seem to disappear during the civil war years; John R.'s son, William H. Bridges is living with his grandfather, Chasteen/Justinian Hood, by 1870, with no sign of his Bridges parents/grandparents. John R. and his wife, Mary Jane Hood Bridges, were living with John's parents - John H. and Lucretia Bridges - in the Livingston County census of 1860. By 1870, William H. was in Crittenden County with Grandpa Hood. No John Bridges-Lucy Bridges/ John Bridges/Mary Bridges appear in the census after that. No clues in vital records, either.
