There is a Bridges Creek in Westmoreland Co. (formerly Northumberland Co.),VA where the Popes and Washington families lived in 1600s and 1700s. Does anyone know which Bridges the creek was named after? It exits into the Potomac River. I am looking for a Joseph and Mary Bridges in the 1700s.
