Will of William Bridges South Carolina Newberry County In the name of God amen. I William Bridges of the district aforesaid, of dispeseing (sp?) mind and memory but weak in body, do make ordain and publish this my last will and testament. First I will and devise all my just debts be paid. Secondly I will and bequeath to my wife Nancy Bridges 200 acres of land around frog level where the dwelling house now stands adjoining lands of George Brown and Samuel Bowers and my other lands and 10 of my negroes such as said Nancy Bridges may choose and all the household and kitchen furniture, my horse and buggy, two cows and calves, and 500 dollars to support her for one year. The above described real and personal estate as willed to said Nancy Bridges is to belong during her natural life for her support and maintence but at her death to be sold and divided according to the way and manner I shall will and devise. Thirdly I will and devise that the residue of my estate both real and personal; be sold by my exector hereinafter named at a credit of twelve months with interest from the date . One tract of land in Edgefield , one tract known as the Spence tract of land sold seperatly as they now stand. The residue of my home tract be divided by 3 commisioners chosen by my executor into four tracts and sold. The purchasers to such bond and securities to the executor and to pay for papers. The procedes of such sale of real and personal estate to be equally divided betwixt my 8 children namely, Charles Bridges, Wiley Bridges, William Bridges Jur., Albert Bridges, (?) Bridges, Nancy Boozer, Temperance Hufsey, and the share that would be coming to Caroline Moseley to be equally divided betwixt her 3 children namely Calbert H. Moseley, William A. Moseley, and Nancy C. Moseley. It is also my will and desire that the shares arising from the sale of estates both real and personal belonging to my daughters Nancy Boozer, Temperance Hufsey, and Nancy C. Moseley my granddaughter, said proceeds or money to go into the hands of trustees chosen by Nancy Boozer and Temperance Hufsey under and by the directions of the court of equity. Said trustees to be bound in bond and security to the commicioner for the faithful discharge of their duty. As for Nancy Moseley, the court will solely determin until she comes to the age of choice. The said Nancy Boozer, Temperance Hufsey and Nancy C. Moesley to recieve yearly the interest arising from said estate for their benefit and support and at the death of said N.Boozer, T.Hufsey, or N.C.Moseley to be equally divided amongst the heirs of their bodys. It is my will and desire that my rail road stock be divided amongst my children as above and that head stones be gottin for all my children that is dead and that no charges be made against Caroline Moseley children for anything I have done or will do. Wheras I have a book of advances made to some of my children and notes on others. I will that they come up in the final settlement. I do herby nominate appoint and constitute James Cameron sole executor of this my last will and testament.
