Greetings to my Cousins! I am now convinced that "Susannah" Huckaby, wife of Thomas Bridges and then Zachariah Robertson, mother of Herod Bridges and Wiley Robertson was named Sansanah rather than Susannah. The documents I have are a mixed bag but the evidence seems to fall on the side of "Sansanah". Sources: 1.. Putnam County Indenture dated 1/12/1824. Selling a parcel of land on Rock Creek to her son Herod Bridges. The lawyer refers to her several times in the document as "San-Sanah" Robertson and she signs with an X following the name Sansanah. 2.. Another land sale to Herod is dated 3/19/1821.This sells a parcel of land in lot 189 to Herod, containing 75 acres more or less. Again marked with an 'X'" following Sansanah. 3.. In the 1920 census of Putnam County, Herod Bridges, Wiley Robertson and "Sansinah" Robertson are listed in sequence, as neighbors in the Tomlinson District. 4.. Several World Tree pages list one of the daughters of Sarah and George W. Wren as being "Martha Sansana Reeves Wren". 5.. I acknowledge that the letter written by Sarah's grandson mentions Susannah but it also mentions the daughter "Sansana",. Where did that come from?
