I have a Dillon Bridges who married Catherine Evans on Jan. 22, 1783 in Frederick Co.?, Virginia and they had some children, and then moved to Fleming County, KY where the rest of their 13 children were born before she died of cholera in 1833. So if you have a Bridges connected with Frederick Co., VA or Fleming Co., KY I would like to hear from you. I have lineage on three of the 13 children James, Dillon Wayne, and Moses Thomas. Here is what I have on the children: 3-1. Joseph Bridges b. 1786 VA, m. Nancy Bennett on Oct. 25, 1804 in Fleming Co., KY. Jesse Bennett was bondsman. 3-2. Lewis Bridges, m. Elizabeth Kelly on 24 Sept. 1808 in Fleming Co. James Kelly Jr., bondsman; John Kelly, father; Margaret Williams, witness. 3-3. James Bridges ; b. 1784 or 1789 VA, m. Nancy Fitch on 21 March 1810; Salathiel Fitch, bondman 170771 3-4. William Bridges m. Priscilla Kelley on 25 June, 1812 in Fleming Co., KY. Jno. Smith, bondsman; Jno. & Jane Kelly, parents; Thomas Downey, witness 3-5. Elizabeth Bridges m. John Bowman on 13 Feb 1812 with James Bridges as bondsman. Page 6 of marriage bonds in Fleming Co.; 3-6. Dillon Wayne Bridges, Sr. b. 5 (or 16 or 24 or 25) Dec. 1794 in Harpers Ferry, VA, and d. October 1866, m. Lydia HAVENS on 28 Aug., 1815; in Fleming Co., KY or Abington, Wayne Co., IN.. Joel Havens was bondsman; Catherine Bridges, his mother; James Saunders, witness. Lydia was born 3 Sept 1796 in KY and d. 9 Feb 1867 in Clay Co., IN. Dillon was in the War of 1812, said one researcher. 3-7. Mary Bridges m. William Pearce in 1818 3-8. Moses T. Bridges, b. Frederick, VA, m. Mary Vanzandt on 19 Dec. 1822 in Fleming Co., KY. Aaron Vanzandt, father; Nathaniel P. Hall, bondsman 3-9. John Bridges b. ca 1798 3-10. Ann Bridges m. Joseph Rippey in 1823 3-11. Charles Bridges m. Jane Pickeral/Pickerell in 1826 No Charles of right age in 1880 national census. 3-12. Nathan Bridges m. Mary Walker in 1828 No Nathan Bridges of right age in 1880 national census. 3-13. Hannah Bridges, b. 10/23/1807, m. Marshall W. Cooper in 1829, d. 8/19/1866 of spotted fever. Marshall born in Bracken Co., KY, died in Flemingsburg of gangrene on 7/3/1877. (Cooper Family Bible).
