Sue Tell me what you have done so far to try to find any relatives. Have you asked any of your fathers brothers or sisters if they know of any cousins? If you have any brothers you might be able to get started with a trace by having them send in their DNA information. If you are interested in that just address a note on the Bridges-Ll@rootsweb.com to Julia Woods. She has any of the information that you might need about the test. Try looking at the 1920 census for the place where you Dad was born. If his family still lived in the county you should be able to find something there to start with. Do you know who his parents were? That's where you will find him listed in the census. In the household of the parents. If he lived somewhere other than with his parents you may have to find out if there were any Aunts or Uncles of either of your own or your grandparents. Let me know how you are doing. If you need any other ideas or help let me know. I may or may not be able to help. I don't know where you live but if you live near Dallas you should be able to find a good library to go to for some of the research. I know there is a good one in Houston. I'm not as familiar with Dallas.
